Sperry Welcomes Chinese Delegation

November 12, 2012

Sperry was pleased to host the 2012 Railway Executive Delegation from the Chinese Ministry of Rail (MOR) this month to its headquarters in Danbury, Connecticut.  The trip of ranking Chinese railway managers from the central office of the MOR and leaders from several of the regional bureaus was focused on reviewing Sperry’s recent developments and long-standing expertise in leading the global rail flaw detection industry.  Railway managers and executives attended numerous training sessions while representing the operational regions of Beijing, Chengdu, Nanchang, Wuhan, Guangzhou, Shanghai, and Xi’an.  The group was focused on learning more about the technologies Sperry deploys around the world, as well as specifically discussing the challenges of the country’s high-speed railway network.  Jamie O’Rourke, General Manager of Sperry, said “The Chinese and broader Asian market continues to be the area of the world where our testing equipment operates at the highest speeds.  We have found the focus on innovation is this area both helps our Chinese customers, but also advances solutions for customers around the world who are beneficiaries of the applications Sperry develops for China.”  For more information, please contact Ray Luan at rluan@sperryrail.com, Sperry’s Chief Representative in Asia.
